UX Designer - Banking and Real Estate

We're looking for an experienced UX Designer who will collaborate with a team of passionate people in developing cutting-edge products, solutions, and services for one of the world's leading Real Estate and Banking organisations in the world..

You will help to mature our design process, establishing our design system with guidelines and templates, usability research standards and approaches to rapid, iterative prototyping.

You will sit within a Product Experience team collaborating with collocated product managers/owners and engineers in the Sydney CBD.

As a the UX Designer on the Commerce Product Team, you will partner with our product management and engineering teams to make the most intuitive website for our clients.

You'll work cross-functionally with members of our marketing, digital content, and product category organizations to gather feedback and explore solutions. From the moment an idea is conceived to the weeks after it launches, your voice is essential in representing our users.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with multiple stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and other designers in drafting & brainstorming initial concepts
  • Creating user flows, wireframes, life style guides, and prototypes
  • Incorporate complex technical and business requirements into the design suggestions
  • Documenting detailed functional specifications
  • Participating in user research efforts and evaluating user feedback
  • Evaluating existing products and recommending optimizations
  • Staying up-to-speed on relevant industry trends and monitoring competitive products
  • Working with analytics to make data driven recommendations

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in UX design
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile, Lean, and/or Design Thinking
  • Strong background in designing across user research, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design
  • Experience with the following applications: Sketch (Mac), Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects), Final Cut Pro
  • Familiar with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS design capabilities
  • Experience in web/UX design, social, banners, games, video, and infographics a plus.
  • Passion for building highly intuitive, user experiences that delight customer
  • A demonstrable track record of building strong cross-functional collaborative relationships
