My client, a leading engineering and construction company is seeking an experienced, full time, standalone Payroll Officer to join the dynamic and vibrant team based in Mascot for a temp assignment. Walking distance from the train station or on-site parking is available.
Full function payroll for ± 250 fortnightly contractors and ±80 monthly salaries, including international pay runs
Accurate data entry of payroll related records and adjustments.
Point of contact for all staff on all payroll related issues
Providing timely payroll reports to business units.
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Assessing payment and leave entitlements
As this is a fast paced and ever changing business environment, you will be an experienced payroll officer who has worked in a hands on independent capacity previously.
Xero and reckon experience is desirable
Minimum of 3 years' Australian payroll experience (end to end payroll processing)
Knowledge of superannuation, taxation, worker compensation and other statutory obligations are necessary
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Strong organisational and time management skills with the flexibility to manage a range of concurrent tasks with conflicting deadlines
Basic accounting skills including accounts payable
