The Company
My client is a market leading organisation and multinational manufacturer and distributor of consumer products. With a standout brand across the globe their Head Office and Manufacturing plant is located in South Eastern Melbourne with sites across the country. The organisation is currently going through various business optimisation initiatives and the need for an experienced Supply Chain Analyst has arisen with a view to support the Supply Chain Department.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you are a critical link within the SC team with a view to ensure the accurate and cost effective flow and availability of products. In detail you will:

  • KPI reporting & analysis - Logistics & freight, Inventory, Purchase Price Variance
  • Supply Chain cost coding, analysis & review
  • Assistance in the negotiation of supplier contracts or service arrangements
  • Value Improvement reporting & management
  • Development & management of supply chain balanced scorecard
  • Management of month end review process
  • Continuously analyse data from all available sources with a focus on identifying areas for improvement, researching root causes and identifying solutions

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Qualification in logistics, accounting or business discipline
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Exposure to Retail, Manufacturing, Distribution or FMCG business
  • Experience in Logistics, Distribution and Supply Chain operations
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel Skills
  • Ability to influence with impact
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proactive and results orientated
