Essential:

• Modern C++ (11 or 14 preferred)
• Linux ( embedded Linux a bonus)
• IP networking (TCP/IP, UDP, UPnP )
• Middleware, POSIX APIs, cross compilers, multithreading
• Debugging with GDB, Valgrind or similar
• Experience with modern build systems and tools
• Agile
