A privately-owned firm that has forged a reputation for delivering quality projects to their clients for over forty-five years, this organisation designs, manufactures, commissions and services process plant and systems. They may deliver projects as individual capital equipment or complete turnkey plant solutions.

As a Proposals Engineer, you will be a member of a team which prepares proposals that present a compelling and logical case to purchase capital equipment and solutions. Your duties and responsibilities will include the following;

  • Prepare estimates using agreed templates for firm, budget and feasibility proposals
  • Assist the Technical Sales Manager and General manager in the preparation of tender bids and firm proposals for major projects
  • Ensure that the estimates for tenders reflect current units cost for materials and fabrication and are based on sufficient vendor quotes to obtain an accurate overall cost which may be reviewed and critiqued by a tender review panel.
  • Participate in the process of handing over the project to the Operations team once proposals are won.

You will be a degree qualified Chemical Engineer, complemented with over four years' experience within process related industries that have given you exposure to and an understanding of relative equipment and systems. You will possess the ability to write clear and concise technical reports and proposals and experience with process equipment and piping layout to assist with the overall plant layout.
