The Company

Our client is a global service provider supporting a range of industries in over 20 countries around the world. They have experienced amazing growth in the Australian market in the last few years, and cemented themselves as the market leader locally. Due to continued growth and secured projects they are looking for a proven Project Accountant/Controller to oversee the functions for a number of projects throughout APAC.

The Opportunity

The Project Controller will support Project Managers, by monitoring and evaluating each step of a project to ensure it is on budget and will meet its deadlines, in detail you will be responsible for:

  • Project structure set-up and maintenance in ERP System
  • Projects end to end profitability and cash flow reporting and control
  • Ensuring compliance and global processes tools and templates are satisfied
  • Accurate revenue, cost & margin follow up and reporting
  • Budgeting and monthly forecasting process
  • Support Project Managers to oversee and identify deviations to the plan and recommend solutions;
  • Providing "early warnings" on issues which could potentially have a financial impact
  • Understanding and reporting of project physical progress
  • Preparing required project reports for all relevant audiences

Your Ideal Background

  • Tertiary qualification in finance, business or relevant discipline
  • Proven experience in similar role, working in engineering/construction/mining or related environment
  • Possess working knowledge of contracts administration and pricing
  • Capability to evaluate step-by-step project management processes
  • Ability to develop project scheduling, budgeting and progress reports
  • Strong expertise in ERP systems and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently and meet set deadlines
  • Ability to influence and persuade
  • Effective internal and external communication and interaction
