The Company:
My client is a market leading organisation and multinational manufacturer and distributor of consumer products located in Western Sydney. A standout brand across the globe with multiple distribution sites across the continent they are currently going through various business optimisation initiative and have identified the need for a experienced Purchasing and Planning contractor to assist with the workload for a period of 6 months on a contract basis.
The Role:
Reporting to the Planning Manager, this role is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and the Company products. Direct responsibilities include:
- Interacting with the business understand forecast drivers;
- Reviewing New Product Introductions/Obsolescence to gauge effects on future demand;
- Producing customer demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons
- Establishing a process of managing and realigning inventory positions/levels via ERP system, including safety stock
- Coordinating and communicating the demand forecast with the Sourcing and Operations Team
- Analyse forecast methods & logistics adherence to Sourcing strategy
- Monitoring trends within Forecast and provide communication
- Coordinating and communicating customer action plans with planning department
Preferred Experience:
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar position;
- Appropriate qualifications in Logistics or Supply Chain
- Knowledge of large ERP/MRP and DRP systems
- Exposure to the Sales & Operations Planning Process
- Excellent communications skills and a team player
