As a global provider of advanced composite solutions to clients across a range of industries, this ASX listed business is at the forefront of industry. Operating from a state of the art manufacturing facility, the business has developed significant capabilities and expertise in the production of advanced composite components.

Reporting to the Production Engineering Lead, as an Industrial Engineer, you will form part of the team that is responsible for the identification, development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. You will deliver productivity and process efficiencies, increase machine capacity, eliminate waste and reduce labour costs. The role will incorporate the following responsibilities;

  • Lean implementation and continuous improvement; 5S, SMED, Kaizen
  • Drive process management; value stream mapping, work flow process mapping
  • Capacity Planning
  • Mistake Proofing; zero defects, right first time

You will be a degree qualified engineer; industrial, mechanical, aerospace or similar with a minimum of five years experience within an industrial engineering or process improvement function within a manufacturing environment such as aerospace, automotive or defence. You will need to demonstrate relevant experience in a design for manufacture environment utilising lean manufacturing methodologies.

To be eligible for this role you will need to pass ITAR regulations due to the sensitivity of the products produced for defence related clients.
