My client based in the South of Brisbane, is looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator in a standalone role, repoting to the National H&S Manager and dotted line to the Branch Manager. A fortune 500 company, they are a global organisation, in the automotive sector.
Reporting to the NSW Safety Manager you will be responsible to maintain and develop the HSE program and system
Develop and implement integrated management system, and risk management plans
Develop relationships with branch and department managers to create a strong safety culture and lead safety initiatives
Provide advice to multiple sites on all facets of health, safety and environmental issues
Monitor legislative requirements and best practice that will assist in the safe and responsible operation of site activities
Conduct IMS Audits and prepare HSE reports
Manage workers compensation claims and return to work program
Diploma or tertiary qualification in OHS
Rehabilitation and return to work co-ordinator qualification and experience
Minimum 4 years health, safety and environmental experience in Australia
Preferably experience in an automotive, manufacturing, construction or heaving industry
Ability to co-ordinate incident investigations and compliance auditing
Solid knowledge of federal and state legislation related to OHS&E programs
Note this is NOT a management position.
