This Western Sydney based Education Provider runs a portfolio of early childhood centers. The Accountant / Book-keeper role is responsible for supporting the CFO complete and centralize the accounts for multiple facilities.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this fast-paced, pivotal role, you will be a hands-on Accountant / book-keeper with experience across all transactional and supporting reporting functions.
You will already possess Accounting experience - ideally within a services industry setting. Reporting to the CFO and assisting the Payroll Accountant. your duties will involve the timely and accurate completion of;
* Assisting with Year/Month-end Closings
* Full function Accounts Payable
* Coordinating the on-site Billings
* Assist with the eventual integration of billings into a centralized finance model.
* Assisting the Payroll Accountant with Payroll processing for over 250 staff
* Engaging with stakeholders in a warm and engaging manner.
You will be an independent, positive and strongly focused solution seeker. You will enjoy initiating strong coordination between the finance and facility staff and residents. You will be communicating clearly across the business, consistently in an upbeat. emotionally intelligent and culturally aware manner. You will not only strong in day-to-day operational accounting but also strong in identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes of work. You will hold yourself to the highest standards having already finished a TAFE or University degree. This role will require advanced Excel skills and a strong ability to efficiently navigate a mid-tier Accounting Package and other computer systems. The successful candidate will need to be able to successfully complete a Criminal and Working with Children's Check.
