Your new company and role
This Aged Care Provider runs a portfolio of retirement living and continuum care solutions. The Systems Accountant role is responsible completing the accounts for a single Residential facility and spearhead systems upgrades and customised reporting. You will be liaising extensively to the Accountant and Finance Manager, a multidisciplinary team as well as all internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this fast-paced, pivotal role, you will be a hands-on Accountant or Analyst with experience across all transactional and supporting reporting functions.

You will already possess solid financial Planning, Analysis and cross-functional business partnering experience. Experience within Aged Care, Retirement Living or Community Services Sector would be helpful but not essential.
You will be an intelligent and articulate solution seeker.

  • Business partnering with all company stakeholders to identify possible gaps of efficiencies.
  • Oversee all implementation work for new systems and process automation.
  • Liaising with system vendors to ensure optimum configuration and functionality
  • Training up new users in new processes
  • Coordinating the Go-Live for process improvements
  • Ensuring the data integrity for transfers data
  • Year/Month-end Closings
  • Payroll processing as required
  • Ensuring the integrity of statutory reports
  • Debtor / Creditor Transactions

You will enjoy initiating strong coordination between the finance and facility staff and residents. You will be communicating clearly across the business, consistently in an upbeat. emotionally intelligent and culturally aware manner. You will not only strong in day-to-day operational accounting but also strong in identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes of work.

You will hold yourself to the highest standards having already finished a degree. This role will require advanced Excel skills and a strong ability to efficiently navigate a mid-tier Accounting Package and other computer systems.
